The years of training and dedication necessary for an athlete to win an Olympic medal are impossible to comprehend. To lose after that incredible dedication must be devastating.
But finger-pointing and insults should have no place in sport.
Since 1990, Michael Spracklen has turned young Canadian dreams into Olympic and world champion medals. And before ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½, he did the same for Britain's Stephen Redgrave and other rowers. He has won numerous accolades and awards including an Order of the British Empire and International Coach of the Year.
We are privileged here in ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ that Mike and his beloved wife, Annie, choose ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ as their home. We are also indeed blessed that our Canadian rowing team has such an unbelievable coach.
