Agnes Richardson
Happy 100th Birthday
Today, April 16th, 2023 Agnes Richardson celebrates her 100th birthday. Her 3 sons - Wayne, David & Ian, their spouses and all of their family (including 7 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren) have arrived in Victoria to help her celebrate.
Agnes was born in Victoria and grew up in Oak Bay. She joined the Navy in 1942, and was eventually drafted to St. John's Newfoundland where she met her beloved husband Mac. After the War ended, they were married on November 23, 1945 at St. Mary's Anglican church, Oak Bay, Victoria. Agnes and Mac lived active and busy lives, until Mac's passing in December 2008, after 63 years of marriage. Agnes is a proud WW11 veteran, life member of the WRENS and was a long time volunteer at North York General Hospital in Toronto. In Victoria, she was a member of the JDF Hospital board and a volunteer at the Priory & Heritage Woods Senior Care. Agnes has a lifelong association with the Anglican Church of ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½, and is an active member of Church of the Advent in Colwood.
