OTTAWA — ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½'s annual inflation rate was 6.8 per cent in November, Statistics ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ says. The agency also released rates for major cities, but cautioned that figures may have fluctuated widely because they are based on small statistical samples (previous month in brackets):
— St. John's, N.L.: 6.6 per cent (6.4)
— Charlottetown-Summerside: 10.6 per cent (9.4)
— Halifax: 8.2 per cent (7.7)
— Saint John, N.B.: 8.2 per cent (7.3)
— Quebec City: 6.6 per cent (6.7)
— Montreal: 7.1 per cent (6.7)
— Ottawa: 6.5 per cent (6.7)
— Toronto: 6.5 per cent (6.4)
— Thunder Bay, Ont.: 6.7 per cent (6.7)
— Winnipeg: 8.5 per cent (8.3)
— Regina: 6.5 per cent (7.8)
— Saskatoon: 6.9 per cent (8.0)
— Edmonton: 6.3 per cent (6.8)
— Calgary: 7.3 per cent (7.4)
— Vancouver: 7.1 per cent (7.3)
— Victoria: 6.7 per cent (7.9)
— Whitehorse: 8.3 per cent (7.6)
