The second day of the Rifflandia Festival will feature a pair of Atlanta icons, a nu-disco favourite, and members of Canadian rap royalty.

Organizers announced another wave of artists Thursday, revealing that No Scrubs hitmakers TLC, viral favourite Oliver Tree, and British pop singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor will perform at the annual musical festival. Rifflandia is set for Sept. 13-15 on the Matullia Lands in Rock Bay, with four stages in action during the music and culture event.

Tionne (T-Boz) Watkins and Rozonda (Chilli) Thomas, the surviving members of Atlanta icons TLC, following the death of Lisa (Left-Eye) Lopes in 2002, will be making their Victoria debut at the festival. Outsized personality Oliver Tree, whose quirky music videos have made him a popular draw, and nu-disco singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor, whose hits include Murder on the Dancefloor, are among the highlights of Rifflandia’s second day of programming.

Last month, organizers announced platinum-selling rapper Ja Rule, ’90s hitmakers C+C Music Factory, and dance music favourite Rezz as headliners for the festival’s opening day activities on Sept. 13.

Other acts announced Tuesday slated to appear on Saturday, Sept. 14: Toronto collective Broken Social Scene, who are returning to the festival for the second time; Juno Award-winning singer-songwriter Aysanabee; and a collective of pioneering Canadian hip-hop favourites, Maestro Fresh Wes, K-OS, Rascalz, and Michie Mee.

The roster for Sunday, Sept. 15 — Rifflandia’s final day of programming — will be made public on May 30. A variety of ticket tiers are on sale now at .
