A new solo album from Blue Rodeo singer Jim Cuddy has resulted in a coast-to-coast Canadian tour that will stop on Vancouver Island for two performances this year.
Cuddy, 68, is booked into the McPherson Playhouse on Nov. 13 and Parksville’s Knox United Church on Nov. 14. A band fronted by Cuddy’s son, Devin Cuddy, is the opening act for the massive All the World Tour, which gets underway June 15 in Vineland, Ontario.
The trek is in support of his sixth solo album, All the World Fades Away, which is due for release June 14. For his first solo effort since 2019, Cuddy and his band — which includes drummer Joel Anderson, violinist Anne Lindsay, keyboardist Steve O’Connor and Blue Rodeo members Colin Cripps (guitar) and Bazil Donovan (bass) — recorded at Blue Rodeo’s own Woodshed Studio.
Tickets for the performance go on sale Friday, May 10 at 12 p.m. through the Royal McPherson box office (250-386-6121) or .
