A Courtenay man reported missing in May has been found deceased.
Comox Valley RCMP said the death of David Phillips, 53, is not considered suspicious.
“We offer our sincerest condolences to the friends and family,” police said in a statement.
RCMP did not release details about where Phillips was found or the circumstances surrounding his death.
Phillips was last seen at his Courtenay home on May 8 and police issued a public plea to be on the lookout. Three weeks later, RCMP released photos of Phillips in a renewed effort to locate him.
He was known to frequent area parks and ride a red chopper-style e-bike, RCMP said at the time.
On Tuesday, more than four months after he was last seen, police said the body of Phillips had been located.
