More than 2,100 BC Hydro customers were without power Friday morning in the area of Duncan, North Cowichan and Maple Bay.
BC Hydro said the cause was a tree down across power lines.
The utility described the outage area as north of Westcan Terminal Road and east of Somenos Road.
