A break in the water-supply main affecting Sooke-area residents since Friday has been repaired, says the Capital Regional District.
The break, which was repaired on Sunday morning, was on a water-supply main leading to the Sooke River Road disinfection facility, the CRD said in a notice.
About 13,000 people in Sooke, East Sooke, parts of the Juan de Fuca Electoral Area and the T’Sou-Ke First Nation were asked to conserve water. The break, in the Sooke Potholes Regional Park, was discovered early Friday.
The CRD thanked residents who reduced water use during the two days that the water supply was disrupted.
