I agree the Crown must appeal exRCMP officer Monty Robinson's slap on the wrist for killing a motorcyclist, then fleeing the accident scene to run home and have a couple of shots of liquor in an attempt to mask his drinking and driving.
A month of house arrest as part of his conditional sentence is outrageously lenient; Stanley Cup rioters who neither killed nor injured anyone received much stiffer sentences.
The law itself is on trial in right-thinking Canadians' minds: Is the law an ass or an asset?
