Iconic Inner Harbour Victoria hotel debuts revamped look, enhanced amenities and tailored services

The iconic , situated in the heart of Victoria’s Inner Harbour, has officially unveiled its exciting new brand identity and extensive suite renovations. These enhancements are set to redefine the guest experience, blending modern comfort with a commitment to sustainability.

Formerly known as Huntingdon Manor Hotel, this beloved Victoria landmark has undergone significant transformations to both its physical space and overall branding. In addition to its new name, the hotel has also debuted a new logo featuring a stained-glass design with bees, symbolizing its dedication to sustainable practices while acknowledging its rich heritage.

“The new branding aligns perfectly with our expanded range of services and our deep commitment to the environment,” says Erin Cassels, general manager of Huntingdon Hotel and Suites. 

This commitment is underscored by the hotel’s recent accolades, including the 2024 Greater Victoria Chamber Award for Sustainable Business Practices and a nomination for the Sustainability Award by the British Columbia Hotel Association.

Where comfort meets class

Guests at the Huntingdon Hotel and Suites can now enjoy one of the 38 meticulously renovated loft rooms, including the prestigious Grand Dorset Suite. These rooms are designed to provide the utmost comfort and functionality, equipped with full kitchens, spacious living areas and enhanced amenities.  

Many of the lofts also provide majestic views of the Inner Harbour. “Our goal was to create a space that feels like a home away from home, whether for a short visit or an extended stay,” adds Cassels.

The hotel also boasts unique on-site amenities that cater to both leisure and business travellers. The dedicated meeting room can host up to 40 guests, making it ideal for business meetings and intimate events. For relaxation, the Free Spirit Spa offers a range of treatments designed to rejuvenate and restore. 

For an easy and accessible way to get around town, the Pedaler bike rental service allows guests to explore Victoria like a local. Another highlight is the historic Pendray Inn and Tea House on the premises, which offers traditional afternoon tea in a setting ideal for special events and daily enjoyment.

Celebrating sustainability in Victoria

Huntingdon Hotel and Suites’ dedication to sustainability extends beyond its operations. The hotel supports the community through donations to local charities such as the Women’s Transition House, Habitat for Humanity, and their own community garden in partnership with the James Bay Neighbourhood Association (JBNA). It also backs the Indigenous Tourism Destination Fund, contributing to reconciliation and fostering a circular visitor economy in Victoria.
