Richmond-based T&T Supermarket, ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½'s largest Asian grocery chain, continues to expand.

On Wednesday, the company announced its plan to open a new location at the Lynnwood Crossroads Shopping Center in Washington state, north of Seattle.

This will be the second T&T location in the U.S., with a flagship store in Bellevue, Wash., set to open later this year

The company said the second location, which will sit on a 30,000-square-foot facility, will serve the rapidly growing community in Lynnwood and the northern Seattle area.

"We never stopped looking at locations in Washington after the announcement of our flagship store in Bellevue," said Tina Lee, CEO of T&T Supermarkets.

"There's excellent growth potential here."

The Lynnwood store is expected to open in the summer of 2025, according to T&T Supermarket.

Lee said the opening date for the U.S. flagship store in Bellevue, originally scheduled for this summer, has been delayed due to an electrical panel back order.

"We do not have an official opening date for Bellevue yet, but we are determined to open later in the year," said Lee.

The Asian grocery chain is also expanding in the Lower Mainland. On Thursday, it announced a store would open at Burnaby's Brentwood Town Centre.

The new store is scheduled to open at the Gilmore Place development in the summer of 2025 and it will be the second T&T store in Burnaby.

Its very first store opened in Metrotown in 1993.

Acquired by retail giant Loblaw Companies Ltd. in 2009, T&T Supermarkets operates more than 30 stores in ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½, Alberta, Quebec and Ontario, including three locations in Richmond.
